I am so pleased that the bipartisan Omnibus bill passed in the House and the Senate. We will finally have 470,000 wonderful acres of new wilderness protected in California.  

Locally, Pleasant View Ridge is truly a beautiful hike, and Magic Mountain is indeed magical with condors soaring overhead.  

The Eastern Sierra lands are a vacationer’s dream so close to our home. These pristine areas are untouched and wilderness designation means that they will remain that way for generations.

Many thanks are due to Congressman McKeon for working so hard with Senator Barbara Boxer on this legislation for nearly seven years.
