Two tiny brush fires consumed close to 10 acres Sunday morning near Templin Highway, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

Shortly before 9:20 a.m., Sunday, firefighters were dispatched to Templin Highway just off of the southbound lanes of Interstate 5, near Gorman, said Fire Department Supervisor Cheryl Sims.

“We had two small brush fires on the north and south side of Templin,” she said.

One fire consumed 8.3 acres and the other, one acre.

The fires were knocked down shortly after 10 a.m., Sims said.

“We have units on fire watch for the area now,” she said.
