City Web site launches public meeting page

Residents looking to keep up with all things city-related can visit the new Public Meeting Page on the city's Web site.

The site, created the site in light of the Brown Act, provides residents with forecasted issues to be discussed in upcoming City Council meetings.

On the site, community members will find public meeting notices, as well as information about and access to City Council, Planning Commission and Parks, Recreation and Community Services agendas. Municipal subcommittee agendas are also available for residents to review.

The city's Public Meeting Page keeps residents informed on upcoming city issues and allows them to be better prepared for public comment at meetings.

The city willingly upholds the Brown Act, which, among other things, requires public access to municipal meetings and requires that elected officials hear public comment at such meetings.

Subcommittee agendas featured on the city's Public Meeting Page include those for the city's Redevelopment Agency, Arts Advisory Committee, Legislative Subcommittee and more.
