As a resident of Santa Clarita Valley for more than 15 years and someone who has to deal with identity theft on a regular basis due to my job, it makes me sick that once again our government has bowed down the Mexican government (“Mexican consulate forces deal in ID theft case,” March 20).

When is our government going to stand up to them and do the right thing? These people are felons. Treat them that way.  

As for Christina Behle, if the case was so weak for your clients, they why did you let them take a deal? You (Christina) know darn well they weren’t allowed to use cell phones, or be out of sight of the deputies. It’s called “officer safety.”

As for the Miranda rights, again, you know very well when and why a person is required to have their rights read to them.  

Then again maybe you don’t. Yeah, that’s it. You’re doing a great job. Please continue to do your job in the same manner.
