Or, so said German philosopher, cultural critic, poet and composer Friedrich Nietzsche.

Have you or someone you admire faced a life-changing experience? Was there one experience that left you or another person unsure of whether it was possible to overcome the obstacle? Or did either of you tackle the challenge with confidence and become stronger for it?

We’re always looking for compelling first-person narratives to publish for our readers – stories which, at times, inform, inspire or impart knowledge to readers in a positive way.

Our Community is the place where people who live in the Santa Clarita Valley can share their stories – and we publish them - giving the community a voice.

Writers have been of all ages from young to old, and readers have been sharing some great stories – and photos. The topics have been across the board – inspired by the writers who told their stories.

We’ve loved reading their stories at The Signal. We hope that you do as well.

Stories should run 400 to 700 words in length. Don’t worry about how polished your story might be – we’ll help! Photos should come in as attachments and please let us know who to give photo credit to.
