Newhall CA native Marine assists with South Sudan Crisis Response

Newhall CA native, Sergeant Miguel A. Infante, is currently serving as a reconnaissance Marine with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response.

In his photo, he is conducting a radio check during a readiness drill in Entebbe, Uganda, Jan. 21, 2014.

The Marines and Sailors of SP-MAGTF CR are currently postured in both Djibouti and Uganda in order to better respond to threats against U.S. personnel and interests in South Sudan.

SP-MAGTF Crisis Response is a self-mobile, self-sustaining force capable of responding to a range of crises to protect both U.S. and partner-nation security interests in the region, while also strengthening partnerships throughout the U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command area of responsibility.
