I first met my husband in August 2003.

My husband Bob is a bus driver for the city and I was going to school one day when I missed the second step of the bus and fell face first into his lap; on my knees, hands on his thighs.

We were friends from that point on for the next seven years until he decided to send me a Facebook message to invite me bowling on Feb. 28, 2010.

I had a huge crush on him so of course I said, “Yes.” We have been inseparable ever since.

We go on many trips together, but one was very memorable. Our families get along great and we do many things together.

It was on Presidents Day in 2011 and we were camping with my dad at Calico Ghost Town in Barstow at a Civil War Reenactment. Bob had talked to all the re-enactors and had them 'kidnap' him to make me come save him. When I was finally dragged down, he proposed in front of 250 people with my dad videotaping it and my dad’s friend taking pictures. After this, we became Civil War Re-enactors and are very active in this.

On Sept. 11, 2011 we married at my parents’ house in Canyon Country with family at our side. Everything was perfect for each of us had married our best friend. We went to Solvang for our honeymoon and had a blast.

Now we save up for trips to go on every year. We love exploring different places together. We also take a baby cockatiel, Billy, that we adopted everywhere we go and love to spoil him.
