A variety of volunteer opportunities for adults and teens are still available for the 2009 Cowboy Festival at Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio from Wednesday, April 22 through Sunday, April 26 and other kick-off events prior to the festival weekend.

Students ages 11 to 14 looking to earn community service hours or who are interested in volunteering can fill out and submit a "Volunteen" form no later than Monday, April 6.

Adult volunteer forms are due Wednesday, April 15.

Forms are available at the city of Santa Clarita's Community Services Office, located inside the Activities Center at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.

Forms may be submitted in person there or mailed to "Volunteers - Cowboy Festival, City of Santa Clarita - Mezzanine, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA 91350."

All Volunteens must attend a mandatory "Volunteen Round-Up" event at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7 in the Century Room at City Hall, 23920 Valencia Blvd., located in Valencia.
