West Ranch showed it can score, Canyon showed it can pick up a league win, and Hart further demonstrated that it might be the team to beat on Friday.

The Indians further entrenched themselves into first place in the Foothill League with a 2-0 victory over Valencia.

Scoring for the Indians were Anthony Salvadori and Brayon Rodriguez, off an assist from Oscar Ocampo.

The Indians (9-4-2, 3-1) will face Canyon at home next. Valencia (7-9-3, 1-2-1) visits West Ranch next.

The West Ranch Wildcats improved to 5-6-2 overall and 2-1-1 in Foothill League play by defeating Golden Valley 4-0 on Friday at Golden Valley. Scoring first for West Ranch was Cole Gomez off a feed from teammate Brendan Moskal.

Moskal went on to add another assist and score a goal of his own on Friday, with Max Cawley scoring the other two goals for West Ranch.

Golden Valley (6-8-4, 0-2-2) will look to pick up its first Foothill win on Tuesday against Saugus.

The Cowboys got their first Foothill League win with a 3-0 home victory over Saugus on Friday.

Scoring for Canyon (6-4-5, 1-1-2) were Aram Kazarian, Gio Ortiz and Elmer Aranda.

“It was one of those games where they came out hungry, and we came out flat,” said Saugus head coach Seth Groller. “I see how we played against Valencia and West Ranch, and I’m still excited about that. It’s tough to think about right now, though, obviously.”

Saugus (6-7-4, 2-2) is on the road against Golden Valley next.
