Remember those who lost their health care plans

This letter is in response to the letter of Nancy A. Meister (“Affordable Care Act: A success story,” The Signal Jan. 17.)

I am very glad she has had such a wonderful experience with the Affordable Care Act. But we must not forget the 6 million people who have lost their health care plans that they were happy with. One of the them is my son.

Recently we found a comparable plan that has a higher deductible, higher co-pay and higher monthly premium, so as you must know we are not happy.

Meister says she did not wait very long for treatment. Give it a couple of years and her story will change.

By the way, Nanette, I hope you do not get very ill, as I believe your plan is not accepted at UCLA Medical or Cedar Sinai hospitals.

These are the hospitals I would like to go to if I was very ill.
