While College of the Canyons has seen plenty of massive construction of late, it's also made several improvements to its Student Center, a college administrator said.

The projects include the construction, expansion, remodeling and relocation of several rooms, offices and facilities over the past couple of years, Dr. Michael Wilding said at a recent trustees/Associated Student Government meeting.

Some of the recently completed and progressing Student Center projects include:
n Cafeteria and dining room remodeling
n Student Health Center expansion and addition of offices
n Construction of a transfer center for students
n Computer lab expansion
n Bookstore expansion
n Game room relocation
n Installation of wireless devices offering Internet connection in the building.

The projects have been funded by a variety of sources, Wilding said.

Expansion of the Student Center's computer lab and bookstore are still being planned. The bookstore expansion will be funded by Barnes and Noble.
