A Good Samaritan helped transport an injured motorcylist to the hospital Saturday after a crash on San Francisquito Canyon Road, said California Highway Patrol Sgt. Matthew Hill.

A motorcylist was riding with friends on San Francisquito Canyon Road when he crashed and was injured, Hill said.

His friends waved down a driver, who transported the injured rider to San Francisquito Canyon Road and Copper Hill Drive, where an ambulance arrived.

The ambulance transported the motorcyclist the rest of the way to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, Hill said.

The motorcyclist was not critically hurt, Hill said.

The traffic accident was under investigation.
