SANTA CLARITA - The William S. Hart Union High School District moved into new administrative headquarters Monday not far from its previous offices.

The 31,000-square-foot offices are located at 21380 Centre Pointe Parkway just up the street from its former site, which is across Centre Pointe from Bowman High School.

Superintendent Rob Challinor said the new location is a considerable improvement over the previous quarters, opened in May 1990 when the district had three comprehensive high schools, three junior high schools and two alternative schools.

Enrollment then was about half the nearly 23,000 students enrolled now in six comprehensive high schools with a seventh under construction, six junior high schools and four alternative schools.

Offices before the move were located in three separate buildings.

“We are happy to be in a space that can effective house all district employees in all our departments while creating a board room, training and meeting rooms that will better serve our community and staff for meetings,” Challinor said.

The new district office complex was built by Jim Backer of locally owned JSB Development with Midwest Partners.

The district’s phone number remains 661-259-0033.
