The temperatures this past week seem to indicate that summer is on the way. However, before summer descends, see the most beautiful display of spring beauty at Descanso Gardens, off the Foothill Freeway in La Canada (just a quick 30 minutes from the SCV). The flowering trees are at their peak and every direction in which you look your eye is treated to an explosion of color. This is the best time of year to experience Descanso. Tickets are $7 for adults, students $5 and children 2-12, $2. It's a great place to take a little time to unwind and shed stress. It's also a wonderful place to set your children free to run and explore nature.

Paparazzi Party
The annual "Paparazzi Party" to announce the nominees for SCV Man and Woman of the Year was held at Don and Cheri Fleming's beautiful Westridge home. The event, co-chaired by the 2007 SCV Woman and Man of the Year, Jeanna Crawford and Greg Nutter, attracted a host of SCV glitterati including the current nominees, past SCV Men and Women of the Year, spouses and representatives from nominating organizations.
