MOORPARK, Calif. (AP) — A Ventura County high school is under lockdown as authorities investigate a threatening note found on campus.

Sheriff's Capt. Don Aguilar says someone called 911 after discovering the note shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday at Moorpark High School.

Deputies are on the scene and students are sheltering in classrooms.

There have been no evacuations.

Aguilar says a student with mental health issues may have made the threat.
