Good afternoon Saugus. Over the past week we only had three reported Part-1 crimes. The first was a petty theft in the 21900 block of Peppercorn Drive between December 9th and December 14th. The home owner was having work done in the house when some of her personal property went missing.

The second reported crime was a petty theft from Saugus High School on December 12th. One of the facility members discovered her wallet had been stolen from her purse. After an investigation the School Resource Deputy located the student who stole the wallet and arrested him without incident.

There was a shoplift theft from Best Buy on December 15th. A female stole a prepaid phone from the store. She was detained by security as she exited the store. The female was taken into custody without incident.

Although Saugus has seen a decline in crime this week there have been crime trends in other parts of Santa Clarita. Yesterday there were multiple residential burglaries in Canyon Country. Please remember to keep all your doors and windows locked when you leave for the day. If you see any suspicious activity please contact the Santa Clarita Station at 661-255-1121 and report it as soon as possible.

There were multiple arrests over the past week. The arrests include child neglect, domestic violence, criminal threats, assault, vandalism and narcotics.

If you have any information regarding the above mentioned crimes please call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
