SANTA CLARITA - One woman was injured and taken to the hospital this morning following a four-car crash near the Valencia post office on McBean Parkway.

Shortly after 8 a.m., four cars - all four-door sedans - became involved in a traffic collision at the intersection of McBean and Creekside Road.

Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department assessed the physical condition of a woman behind the wheel of a black Toyota Camry before removing her from the car and onto a stretcher.

Both airbags had been deloyed inside the Camry, which sustained front-end damage.

A deputy with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station interviewed a white-haired man identified as the driver of a silver-colored Aveo.  Paramedics examined one of the man’s legs for injury.

A young man identified as a the driver of a silver-colored Lexus, found sandwiched between the Aveo and the Camry, was also examined for injuries at the scene. There was at least one passenger in the Lexus, the deputy said.

A fourth vehicle, a  grey Sonata identified by a second deputy as involved in the crash, appeared to have sustained no damage.
