The auditoriums at Golden Valley and West Ranch high schools should be ready for student use by fall 2009, according to the William S. Hart Union High School District.
Board members approved a bid from Waisman Construction, Inc. for just over $3 million Wednesday.
The funding will come from the $160 million Measure V school bond, passed by local voters in 2001.
The auditoriums were built as shells during initial construction of the new schools as a way to meet financial restrictions.
