Obama deserves our prayers

Regarding the Gary Morrison letter “Don’t like Obamacare? Show us something better” (Nov. 20), your letter and the facts about Obamacare are scattered, flawed and subjective, I’m sorry to say.

You’ve quoted (“30 to 40 million Americans have no access to health insurance,”) but readers should know that if you dig a little deeper in finding the truth, these numbers are padded, politicized and massaged to suit the current political agendas.

The so called “Affordable Care Act” (a slick piece of political jargon) is absolutely not affordable! Have you been listening to those whose once truly affordable, freely chosen health care plans have doubled and tripled in monthly payments, thanks to Obamacare?

You are worried about the 30-40 million uninsured, but I submit to you the concern of those 50-60 million who were once insured and are now being canceled.

Factually, people are not only losing their insurance, but many, as well, their jobs — as we can attest through personal friends.

Obamacare has forced companies who were insuring their employees to drop health care because of the exorbitant cost and/or to cut people’s hours.

Those are the hard facts evidenced by the drastic drop in approval rating for President Obama to 37 percent from 46 percent last month over this very issue.

Even though I may disagree with Barack Obama, he deserves our prayers, as we are directed in the Bible.

One of the saddest results of this regime is the dividing of families, friends, etc., through anger and hate over issues and party.

And so I close, Mr. Morrison, with a prayer for your blessing, the president’s blessing, and the healing of this nation.

God bless America.
