Seniors get a break

I have been a cat lover for many years. Being retired and disabled, the one thing that keeps me busy during the day are my two cats.

One is a domestic short hair that weighs some 20 pounds, and the other a domestic long hair that weighs 15 pounds.

During the day they follow me from room to room and keep me company until my wife gets home. Both cats wander to the door that she comes in when she arrives home from work.

I have tried to cut the cats’ nails with little success and, being a diabetic, cat scratches seem to always get infected.

My wife suggested taking the cats to Chris’s K-9 Clippery located on Soledad Canyon Road and Camp Plenty.

Catching the larger of the two cats took a little effort, but I managed to get her in the cage after chasing her for 10 minutes. The smaller of the two just comes when she’s called.

Chris was able to cut the cats’ nails for me quickly, and when it came time to pay she asked me if I was a senior and I said “yes.”

She said that she doesn’t charge seniors for clipping nails on pets. I thanked her and was on my way.

It’s nice to know that seniors get a break for something in this world. I’m going to have the cats bathed and groomed in the near future and I will have Chris do it for me. I recommend her highly!
