Pleasantview Industries, a local non-profit organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities, held its 14th Annual Recognition Banquet at the Santa Clarita Activities Center.

The event is hosted, annually, by the local Junior ROTC program under the direction of Capt. Ed Colley.

The purpose of the evening is to recognize the participation, hard work and personal achievement of all of its program participants. Pleasantview continues to serve over 110 individuals with disabilities on a daily basis in its community job placement and work-activity programs.

Keynote speaker for the event was Steve Youlios, owner of several local Jersey Mike’s restaurants. Jersey Mike’s employs several individuals from the Pleasantview Supported Employment program. All program participants in attendance received a Certificate of Appreciation and a small gift.

Pleasantview Industries, Inc. has been in operation in the Santa Clarita Valley for past 44 years.

The organization is accredited by CARF International in the areas of Organizational and Community Employment Services. For more information call (661) 296-6700 or visit Pleasantview Industries online.
