There were seven Part 1 Crimes in Zone 2. One robbery was reported from the Pilot truck stop. The suspect involved was arrested the next day after a concerned citizen called the station and reported seeing him in the area. There were two vehicles reported stolen, one off of Arrow Point Drive and one off of Hipshot Drive. Both vehicles were recovered, one in Kern County and one in Castaic. There were three reported thefts from unlocked vehicles. These thefts were reported from Arrow Point Drive, Royal Road and Cromwell Avenue. All three had personal items and vehicle registration cards taken. One petty theft was reported from the Shell gas station in Castaic. The coin operated car wash machine was broken into and the cash inside was taken.

Please remember to close your garage doors, and never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity. If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding Zone 2 (Castaic or Val Verde), please feel free to email or call me directly.
