The bride-elect is the sister of Alix Passarella and Brock Passarella of Rosewell, Ga. and the granddaughter of Louise Brown of Loretta, Tenn. and Stu Rutherford of Travis City, Mich.
She is a 1998 graduate of Florida Bloomingdale High School and is scheduled to graduate in May from Chapman University. She is employed by Envirosax in San Diego.
The groom-elect is the son of Robert and Joan Barnes of Valencia. He is the brother of Paul Barnes of Valencia and the grandson of Robert Ward Sr. of Somerdale, N.J.
He is a 2000 graduate of Valencia High School and a 2004 graduate of California State University, Chico. He is employed by Mercury Insurance in San Diego.
The couple became engaged Nov. 21 and plan a Sept. 26 wedding in Travis City, Mich.
