County supervisors voted Tuesday to approve a contract for the Sheriff’s Department to provide security at the Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park for another five years.

The contracted law enforcement team from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department includes one sergeant and four deputy generalists to provide full-time, on-site law enforcement at the park to prevent or deter crime, enhance safety and reduce the risk of terrorist activities, according to documents from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

The Sheriff’s Department has provided such services to the park since 2003, according to board documents.

The contract approved Tuesday runs through Nov. 30, 2018, and is for an estimated $820,430, according to board documents.
