Whether intentional or not, your headline on the front page of March 6's Signal, "Hart district will not lay off any employees," was completely misleading. This refers only to classified staff, not certificated teachers.

By March 15, well over 100 certificated teachers in the Hart district received pink slips. Please do not lull the community into thinking our current problem is solved, when in fact, the probable dismissal of many classroom teachers will have an extremely negative effect on class size and the academic achievement of our teenagers.

This is the second time this week that such a misleading headline has occurred about the same subject. Please report fairly to the community. We deserve better than this.
