No part-time City Council members should have medical benefits

TimBen Boydston is a cancer on the Santa Clarita City Council.

First, he was complaining about not making as much money as the other council members, and now he’s upset that he doesn’t have the same health benefits package.

Are you kidding me? TimBen should have looked into his part-time salary and benefits package prior to running for office.

If he doesn’t like his compensation, then he should leave and be a councilman for a city where he can be compensated to his standard of satisfaction.

Lastly, why do part-time City Council members have health benefits at all? There are not too many part-time jobs that offer health benefits, and I don’t believe part-time City Council members need this perk.

The health benefits money being spent on council members could probably be used somewhere else, and with this compensation being spent somewhere else, maybe it will temporarily end some of TimBen’s squabbling.
