Local sheriff’s deputies are looking for burglars who broke into a Newhall house Monday and stole three long barrel firearms, a lieutenant with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station said.

Sometime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, the burglars illegally entered a house in the 21000 block of Oakriver Lane in Newhall and stole three guns, said Lt. Tom Bryski.

The firearms taken include two shotguns — one a Beretta and the other a Remington — and a black .22-caliber semi-automatic Ruger rifle with a scope. No ammunition was reported stolen.

“We’re still investigating,” Bryski said.

Deputies have no description of the suspects, he said.
