There were 5 Part-1 Crimes in Zone 2 this past week.

There was one reported Burglary. A plasma TV was stolen from a building on Industry Drive. There were two reported thefts; used cooking oil was syphoned from an outside storage area at Carl’s Jr. on Parker Road, and $100 U.S. currency was taken out of a patron’s unattended purse while at church on The Old Road.

There was one reported vehicle theft in which the two suspects were arrested in Val Verde for possession of a stolen vehicle. There was one reported Assault; after a physical altercation between two associates, one attacked another while he was in the restroom, the victim was admitted to the hospital with kidney problems possibly related to being kicked while on the ground.

Please remember to close your garage doors, and never leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle. Minimize your risk and avoid being the victim of a crime of opportunity. If you see any suspicious activity, call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
