SANTA CLARITA - Fire in the bathroom of a Canyon Country mobile home Wednesday sent one person to the hospital with undisclosed injuries, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

Firefighters were dispatched to a mobile home in the Parklane Mobile Estates on Soledad Canyon Road near Rainbow Glen shortly before 1 p.m., said Inspector Anthony Aikens.

“When they got there, firefighters saw smoke showing from a double-wide mobile home,” Aikens said. “A second report (from firefighters) indicated it was a small fire inside one unit with no exposure (to other structures.)”

Firefighters knocked the fire down in nine minutes, Aikens said.

One person was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, he said. The identity, age and gender of the patient were not disclosed.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
