In regards to “Woman injured in collision at Decoro and McBean” on The Signal’s website, I have submitted many letters to the editor to The Signal expressing concerns about the hazards and safety factors in this city.

Most of those letters to the editor were ridiculed and scorned by many the website posters. The cynical posters seem to have an aversion to safety in Santa Clarita.

Thank heavens that no one was seriously injured in this accident at Decoro and McBean Parkway.

Speeding, texting, cellphone activity, tailgating and lack of courtesy by the motorist in Santa Clarita has worsened and has become an epidemic.

As many times as letters to the editor have been submitted and published about safety and the hazards of driving in Santa Clarita, and not following the rules of driving, the non-believers will ridicule and demean the letter writer.

Mention the hazardous and the safety factors occurring in Santa Clarita to these non-believers and they pooh pooh the urgency of safety.

One has to be extra careful and drive with extra caution concerning these hazards, especially when driving in Santa Clarita.

These letters to the editor have been written with concern for the motorist’s safety and for all other motorist on the road.
