Los Angeles County supervisors agreed unanimously Tuesday to send a letter to a Santa Clara County judge protesting his planned release of a serial rapist in an Antelope Valley community.

Superior Court Judge Brown ruled last week that Christopher Evans Hubbart may be conditionally released to reside at 17132 Laredo Vista in Lake Los Angeles as early as December.

The board’s letter will urge the judge to reject the location based on its proximity to Stephen Sorensen County Park, Twin Lakes Community Church and a bus stop, said a spokesman for Supervisor Michael Antonovich.

Hubbart is a violent sex predator who has admitted to raping nearly 40 women.
