Valencia High graduate Alison Lee was named the Rolex Female Junior Player of the Year, the American Junior Golf Association announced Tuesday.

Lee will be honored Nov. 24 during the Rolex Junior All-America Awards Banquet at PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Lee, who is a freshman golfer at UCLA, is one of the most accomplished golfers in Santa Clarita Valley history at just 18 years old.

This award recognizes her accomplishments during 2013 — her final year as a junior golfer.

Lee won all three of her AJGA starts of 2013, competed for the victorious squads at the Wyndham Cup (West Team) and PING Junior Solheim Cup (United States), and earned the No. 1 spot in the Polo Golf Rankings.

She is a six-time, first-team Rolex Junior All-American with nine career AJGA victories, four coming at Invitationals: 2013 Rolex Tournament of Champions, 2013 Rolex Girls Junior Championship, 2012 The PING Invitational and 2012 ANNIKA Invitational.

Last week, Lee was named Golfweek Collegiate Player of the Week as well as UCLA’s Student-Athlete of the Week.

She won the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational for her first collegiate title Oct. 15 with a 54-hole tournament individual record of 204 (12-under) and she tied the single-round tournament record with a score of 67 (5-under) on the last day of the event.

Lee, the country’s top-ranked collegiate golfer, won the Stanford Invitational on Sunday and was again named UCLA’s Student-Athlete of the Week. Lee, who only competed one year in the Foothill League, played in three U.S. Women’s Open tournaments — 2009, 2010 and 2012 — among many other accomplishments.
