This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

(1) Robbery, (4) Residential Burglaries/(1) Attempt, (1) Grand Theft, (1) Shoplift, (1) Petty Theft and (1) Attempted GTA.

A strong arm robbery occurred near the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Road. Two suspects fought with store employees when they were confronted as they attempted to exit the store without paying for several cases of beer. The suspects then ran out of the store and out of view. The victims sustained minor injuries during the incident. Two male suspects were identified and arrested shortly after the incident. The case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.

A residential burglary occurred near the 27300 block of Sierra Highway. An unknown suspect pried open a bedroom window and upon entering, took several electronic items.

A residential burglary occurred near the 19700 block of May Way. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence through a kitchen window and took a laptop computer.

A residential burglary occurred near the 19700 block of Green Mountain Road. The suspect used a ladder to access a second story window. Several pieces of electronic equipment were taken during the incident.

An attempted residential burglary occurred near the 20400 block of Delight Street. An unknown suspect attempted to pry open a rear sliding glass door.

An attempt GTA occurred near the 19700 block of Azure Field Drive. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and used a makeshift key to start the engine. Fortunately, the key broke off in the ignition and the suspect was unable to take the vehicle.

There has been an increase of petty thefts involving unattended purses/bags. While out and about, either at the grocery store or local shopping mall, remember to keep your personal belongings on your person. Do not leave purses/bags unattended on shelves outside of a dressing room or in the front portion of a shopping cart. It only takes a second for thief to take your property when your back is turned.

As always, please call me if you have any questions.
