SANTA CLARITA - Two men have been arrested in connection with two recent robberies and an attempted robbery, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“All of these crimes involved suspects who brandished a knife during the robbery and attempted robbery,” Lt. Steve Low said in news release issued Thursday.

“In the robbery that occurred in the Industrial area of Valencia, a male black and male Hispanic stole cell phones and wallets from the victims,” he said.

The victims were able to give a description of the suspects and the vehicle the suspects fled in, he said.

Detectives, who were able to locate one of the stolen phones in the Palmdale area, continued their investigation and were able to identify the male Hispanic involved in the robbery as Abraham Bautista, Low said.

The male black was later identified as Joshua Right, he said.

Both suspects were arrested during separate incidents Wednesday by deputies from Santa Clarita Valley Station and Palmdale Station.

The suspects were booked at Santa Clarita Valley Station and bail was set at $150,000.

Both men are scheduled to appear in court Friday.

In the Newhall incidents the suspects were described as two male blacks in a red, small compact vehicle.

The suspects attempted to rob two males walking down the street, Low said.

“Minutes later, the suspects robbed a female in front of her residence,” he said.

It appears that the Newhall incidents were committed by the same suspects.

Detectives are continuing their investigation to ascertain if the suspects arrested are connected to the robbery and attempted robbery that occurred in Newhall on the same night.
