V.P. appointed to help with acquisition strategy

Brooks F. Marshall has been promoted to vice president of business development for U.S. HealthWorks based in Santa Clarita.

Marshall originally the company in 2012 as director of business development, said a spokesman for the company.

He reports to CEO Daniel D. Crowley in his new role.

“Brooks brings a strong background in identifying potential acquisitions and successfully bringing them to closure,” Crowley said.

The Valencia-based U.S. HealthWorks is a leading operator of occupational healthcare and urgent care centers nationwide.

In the last 12 months, the company has added 23 centers through acquisitions in seven states.

Marshall’s experience and skills will be used to help the company as it continues its acquisition strategy around the country, Crowley said.

A subsidiary of Dignity Health, U.S. HealthWorks reports that it has has 202 clinics and worksites in 19 states and more than 2,700 employees, including about 800 medical providers.
