I didn’t feel like I played that bad, but the way I putted, I just never made a putt.
It is hard to score when you can’t make any putts.
It puts pressure on the rest of your game.
I haven’t putted well for a long, long time.
When I miss a couple fairways and miss a couple of greens, you end up making bogey and it’s hard to recover.
I hit one bad shot on 16. I thought I had to hit it real hard with a 6-iron, and I hit it fat into the water and took five there.
Then I three-putted the next hole.
I should have made three on the par 5 (18th).
I needed to hit it an ounce harder.
It’s one of those deals that if you don’t make any putts, it’s a hard game.
(Sunday), I’ll just try to get it back on track.
I know I can shoot low here.
I’ll go out and try to make as many birdies as I can.
I figure sooner or later I have to make a couple of putts.
