Canyon Country West Crime Report: deputies investigate assault, robbery

This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:

(1) Aggravated Assault, (1) Robbery, (4) Shoplift, (2) Grand Thefts and (3) Petty Thefts.

An incident of domestic violence occurred near the 27000 block of Honby Avenue when a married couple was involved in an altercation. The altercation became physical when the suspect grew angry and bit the tip of the victim’s finger off. Deputies responded to the location and arrested the suspect. The incident is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Valley Station Detectives.

A robbery occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Dr. A female suspect walked out of the location, failing to pay for items she concealed in a handbag. When loss prevention personnel attempted to detain the suspect, she began to fight with the employees. The suspect was subsequently arrested by responding deputies.

Two petty theft/shoplifts also occurred near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive, resulting in one arrest.

A grand theft occurred near the 26700 block of Oak Avenue. An unknown suspect entered a storage yard and took a vehicle rotisserie extension.

A grand theft occurred near the 21100 block of Centre Pointe Parkway. An unknown suspect removed a 33’ sail from a 1991 Prindel sailboat. The boat was parked in the lot of a local business.

A petty theft occurred near the 26600 block of Valley Center Drive. An unknown suspect took the two rear tires off of a company vehicle which was parked in the rear lot of the location.

A petty theft occurred near the 26400 block of Ruether Avenue. An unknown suspect cut the fuel line to a vehicle parked in front of a business and took several gallons of gasoline.
