Commuter traffic was stopped briefly this morning when an SUV southbound on Highway 14 flipped in the fast lane in Canyon Country, according to emergency response officials.

Shortly before 7:10 a.m. Monday, a black Ford Explorer flipped onto its side in the car pool lane, stopping southbound traffic in that lane, just north of Soledad Canyon Road, according to an officer with the California Highway Patrol.

“The call came in as a traffic collision with person trapped,” said a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived, however, they discovered that the driver of the SUV had climbed out of the vehicle on his own.

No one was hurt and no one taken to the hospital, the spokeswoman said.
