Parents of teenagers can learn parenting and college preparation tips through workshops offered by the William S. Hart Union High School District.
The district's Hart Parent Academy invites parents to attend three of nine workshops on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Hart Auditorium.
The 30-minute workshops will cover topics such as University of California enrollment requirements, college planning Internet safety, bully prevention, living with teenagers and developing a parent center. There will also be a college panel.
The event is free, but participants should make reservations by calling (661) 259-7575, ext. 120, or by e-mailing HARSVP@hartdistrict.org.
