Memorial Wall: Names of local veterans who died in Vietnam can be found

The names of 14 servicemen who called the Santa Clarita Valley home can be found on the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Vietnam Memorial Wall that goes on display this evening at the Westfield Valencia Town Center mall.

Opening ceremonies for the will begin at 6 p.m. The wall, an 80-percent-sized replica of the original Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C., will be in the Santa Clarita Valley through Sunday in the mall parking lot at the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and Citrus Street.

Besides finding the fallen local servicemen’s names on the wall, residents can visit the webiste for the nonprofit agency that funded the memorial in Washington, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, to look up the local men’s names and leave messages to honor them.
