A convicted murderer facing four felony counts of rape in the alleged attack last June on an unconscious woman was held to answer Tuesday to a felony firearms charge, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.

Arthur Eugene Lindsey, 73, of Acton appeared in Antelope Valley Superior Court on the newly filed charge of possession of a firearm by a felon, said Shiara Dávila-Morales.

Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami told The Signal Sept. 12 that he would file the weapons charge. Lindsey is scheduled to be arraigned on the charge Oct. 17.

Lindsay also faces two counts of rape of an unconscious person, one count of oral copulation of an unconscious person and one count of sexual penetration of an unconscious person.
