Local senior boys basketball players will get one more chance to take the court in the Foothill League Senior Game, which takes place at 7:30 p.m. today at Bross Gymnasium on the campus of The Master’s College.

The game will divide seniors from the six league schools into two squads. The East team will consist of seniors from Golden Valley, Canyon and Saugus, and the West team will feature seniors from Hart, Valencia and West Ranch.

The East team is littered with guards and outside shooters, including the trio of Steven Thornton, Chris White and Foothill League Player of the Year Maverick Ahanmisi from Golden Valley.

Canyon’s participants include Mike Edwards, Jonathan Lawson and Kyle Barrett, while Noel Mansour, Mark Watanabe, Miles Orr, Jake Birkland and Chris Gatewood will represent Saugus.

The East will be coached by former Saugus High girls basketball coach Eric Olsson and The Master’s College wingman Jeremy Haggerty.

Hart’s entire starting five will suit up for the West squad, including Patrick Abbott, Parker Dominguez, Joe Inemer, Ben Kimble, and Brad Wyche.

The West will be further bolstered by the representatives from Valencia and West Ranch. Emmanuel Anumba, Cory Otavka, Toki Oshodi and Mike Glotfelty will play for the Vikings, and Hakeem Bradley, David Franklin, Beau Martin and Will Tate will represent the Wildcats.

Former Saugus High boys basketball coach Jeff Hallman will coach the West, along with The Master’s College guard Ryan Zamroz.
