LAPD officer faces charge of domestic assault

SANTA CLARITA - A Los Angeles Police Department officer who lives in Stevenson Ranch has been charged with assaulting a member of his family, arrest and booking documents show.

Anthony Adler, 52, who lives in an apartment near The Old Road and Pico Canyon Road, was arrested early Saturday by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies on suspicion of inflicting “corporal injury” on a family member.

Deputies made the arrest at 1:30 a.m. Saturday. He posted bail at 2:44 p.m. that day and was released from custody, according to booking information published by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Inmate Information Center.

Adler, who has worked with the LAPD since at least the summer of 2000, has bail set at $50,000.

He is scheduled to appear in San Fernando Superior Court Tuesday.
