Today, I got everything done I needed to get done.

I have clean clothes for the rest of the week. I watched the Pac-10 tournament and the outcome was good — Arizona State won — and then came out here and tried to do some fine tuning.

I feel like I haven’t had very good success the first couple of weeks this year. I went back to my old irons yesterday, and they felt great.  I’m encouraged by that.

Whenever I come here, no matter how I’m playing, I always feel good coming to this tournament.

Now, I have my old irons back, so things are looking up. I drove the ball really well yesterday. That is what you have to do on this golf course. You have to hit fairways and it helps to hit it a long ways. I’m excited about this week.

Tonight, I’ll just take it easy. My family is coming tomorrow, so I’ll get everything ready for them to come tomorrow. I’ll eat early and watch some more Pac-10 games. I’ll take a couple clubs home and practice putting in the room.

The key for me, putting-wise anyway, is to make sure I get better tempo. My tempo has not been very good. It has been quick, so I have to make sure I get the putter going back slower and that is what I will concentrate on this evening when I’m in the room. Not a very exciting night.

The excitement will start tomorrow when the troops get here. I’ll have eight people here tomorrow, so I’ll catch up on my sleep tonight for the weekend.
