Don’t discriminate against same-sex marriage

I cannot believe that some people actually think that same-sex marriages ought not to exist. That is just plain brutal.

Those people are quick to quote from their Bibles, which state that if a man lies down with another man as he would with a female he surely shall be put to death.

How silly! The Bible should not be allowed in the process of legislating love — all love, that is. If two people of the same sex are in love with each other, so much the better for them — and with love, naturally, comes the act of marriage.

For people not to allow love relationships to marry — and that includes all love relationships — is just plain brutal and is wrongheaded thinking. A loving and just society allows for same- sex marriages.

People who say that same-sex marriages ought not to exist should have problems sleeping at night. Yes, they have their own conscience to live with.

America shall become a stronger nation by allowing same-sex marriages to thrive because it adds the ultimate of love to filter inside our nation’s union.

Still, people say that same-sex partners ought not marry, but their relationships should be called civil unions, not marriages, but I say that that is a high form of discrimination, because only marriages are guaranteed their full rights under law.

Let us not discriminate when it comes to same-sex marriages. They should have all the rights under law that all marriages have. They should have all rights to love each other within the marriage bond.
