SANTA CLARITA - A multi-vehicle crash on the southbound interchange between Highway 14 and Interstate 5 this morning prompted swift response from emergency crews.

Shortly after 8:20 a.m. today, officials with both the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of several cars colliding in the southbound lanes of Highway 14 connecting to the southbound lanes of the I-5, said Inspector Anthony Aikens.

“Initially, we had it as in the slow lane with a car on fire and people trapped,” he said.

Responding firefighters, however, found no one trapped and reported no injuries. They transported no one to the hospital, Aikens said.
