Much has been made of Congressman Howard P. "Buck" McKeon's vote against the sham Speaker Pelosi stimulus plan ("Stimulus or Spending?" Feb. 15.)

No funds should go to organizations such as ACORN, which has been involved in making illegal voter registrations in recent elections.

I applaud our congressman for taking a stand against a blatant misuse of taxpayer dollars.

What we do need is a target plan that invests in road building, tax cuts and job creation, not a spending spree.

Bravo to Buck for rightly rejecting the flawed Pelosi plan and supporting a sensible Republican alternative.
