SANTA CLARITA - One person was injured and transported to the hospital after a vehicle ran off the northbound side of Highway 14 near Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country on Monday, according to officials.

California Highway Patrol Officer Ed Jacobs said the incident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. when the minivan ran off the right shoulder of the northbound lanes and rolled down an embankment.

“The car also possibly flipped over,” he said.

Its windshield smashed, the minivan eventually came to rest on top of a fence near Lost Canyon Road.
Jacobs said it appears no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

One man was transported to a local hospital, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Anthony Akins. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, fire officials said.
