SANTA CLARITA - With the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall’s visit to the Santa Clarita Valley only a month away, organizers are looking for volunteers who will help out at any time during the four-day event.

Volunteers will be needed 24 hours a day from Sept. 26 to Sept. 29 to help with the visit of the 80 percent replica of the actual Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington, D.C. All names of service men and women who died during the conflict are on the wall that will be available for viewing 24 hours a day in the parking lot of Westfield Valencia Town Center.

Tasks for which volunteers are sought include computer research, giving general directions, information desk, etching names from the wall to paper, Vietnam veterans to console visitors, setup and teardown of the wall, and dog sitting, organizers said.

Those interested in volunteering may register for shifts by going to santa-clarita.com/seasons and creating an account, then clicking on “volunteers,” or by calling 661-250-3708.
