SANTA CLARITA - Warm weather is due to linger in the Santa Clarita Valley until at least Labor Day weekend, National Weather Service forecasters said Tuesday.

Temperatures in the low 90s with lows in the low 60s to high 50s will usher in the unofficial end of summer weekend, continuing a trend of a generally mild summer of 2013.

At the Castaic Sports Complex Aquatic Center on Tuesday, residents were enjoying the summer weather despite the opening of school last week.

The Castaic center is free and open to the public for swimming every day this from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m. The hours are due to remain the same through Labor Day.
